The Role of Wall Lighting
Good lighting design uses multiple layers: ambient (ceiling), task (focused), and accent (decorative). Wall lamps typically serve the accent and task layers, filling in the vertical plane that ceiling lights miss. They create pools of light and shadow that add depth and atmosphere to a room.
Types of Wall Lamps
We carry up-down wall washers (casting light both upward and downward), directional reading lights (with adjustable arms), decorative sconces, and picture lights. Materials include aluminium, brass, and painted steel in finishes to match your interior palette.
Placement & Wiring
Wall lamps are typically installed at 1.5m to 1.8m above floor level, though this varies by application. Most require a concealed electrical point in the wall, so plan this during renovation if possible. Some models offer plug-in options as a retrofit alternative.
