LED Strip Drivers

Power supplies sized for the LED strip wattage and length you're running. Choose by your total strip load.

How to size an LED strip driver

Add up the wattage of every strip the driver will power, then choose a driver with at least 20% spare capacity. A driver running at its limit runs hot and fails early.

Our standard drivers come in 60W ($35), 100W ($45), 200W ($60) and 300W ($79). If your strip load is 45W, the 60W driver is the right size. At 90W, step up to 200W rather than squeezing onto the 100W. Not sure of your load? Send us your run lengths and strip type on WhatsApp and we will size it for you.

Smart LED drivers

A smart driver replaces the standard power supply and adds app, voice and automation control to the strip. The Aqara Driver T1 Pro ($99) and Aqara Driver T2 ($119 to $139) connect the strip to the Aqara app, voice assistants and automations. The Tuya Zigbee Driver suits homes already running a Tuya or Smart Life setup.

Long runs and where to put the driver

Over a long run, voltage drops and the far end of the strip gets dimmer. For runs of more than about 5m, feed power from both ends or split the run across two drivers. Place the driver somewhere you can reach later, such as inside a cove access panel, a cabinet or the false ceiling near an access hatch, and keep it ventilated.
